The first step is scheduling and completing an initial consultation to ensure we’re a good fit for one another. This is a crucial first step in establishing a strong therapeutic connection.
During our first session, we'll gather your history, set meaningful goals, and begin to learn more about each other. This lays the groundwork for a collaborative and effective therapeutic process.
Attend regular sessions where we’ll focus on specific topics, work together toward your goals, and continue building a positive, supportive therapeutic relationship.
My Approach
I create a warm, judgment-free space where empathy, positivity, and genuine connection are key. Together, we'll explore your unique journey, fostering trust and collaboration as we work through life's challenges. My goal is to support and empower you in discovering your inner strength for healing and growth.
Theoretical Approach
My therapeutic approach is eclectic, meaning I draw from various methods to tailor our work to your unique needs. I commonly incorporate DBT, CBT, ACT, IFS, and Polyvagal theories, all through a trauma-informed lens. This flexibility allows me to adapt to what best supports your healing and growth.
Ongoing Learning
As a registered member of the College of Psychotherapists of Ontario, I am required to seek ongoing supervision and continuing education to keep my knowledge and skills current. In conjunction, my membership with the College of Social Workers also mandates regular professional development. This commitment ensures I provide the highest standard of care in my practice.
